If you don't already own it and still purchase music legally then I have a link below where you can buy the digital download and I even get a few pennies for it.Īnd the link to purchase the album and help a fellow head out: I'll throw up the tracklist below and star all my favorites of the album but this is a must have for any REAL HEAD. Favorite tracks are: all of them! I'm not a big fan of the ouija mystic stuff but other than that this is an album you can ride out to beginning to end.ĭown '71 is one of my favorites with the courtroom skit at the beginning (and I usually hate skits on albums!) that sets the tone for the theme of the song then the song just rides.beat, lyrics, hook, sound effects ALL on point especially when Layzie is goin off about "Mack-10s, sawed off eruptions, got plenty ammunition No missing listen destruction I'm bustin" with the machine gun effects behind it all just feels right. This album contains the anthem "1st of Tha Month" which anyone who has ever heard a single rap track in their life knows, and is still classic to this day. This is definitely an album for the REAL head, being they rhyme so fast most casual listeners might not be able to understand the lyrics (you might try somethin more elementary like waka or gucci mane). Their sound was their own, there were others like Twista flippin bars quick but he didnt have the harmony that Bone possessed. The thing I really loved about Bone's sound was it was unique, harmonious and melodic with fast flipped rhymes.
#T.I TRAP MUZIK TRACKLIST FULL#
I got this album when I was in 7th grade (granted its not the most postive music for a 7th grader) and I listened to it literally non-stop on my walkman portable cd player.lol.īone Thugs were discovered by Eazy-E (and for those of you who dont know who Eazy was just go ahead and click the red X in the top right hand corner) who also executive produced the album which was their first full length record released on July 25, 1995, following the triple platinum EP release "Creepin on ah Come up". And it just so happens to be a review of one of my favorite albums of all time as well as the first hip hop cd I ever owned.

"Y'all ain't never seen a dope boy play the piano and rap at the same time have you?"Īlright, this is gonna be my first REAL review here for Throwback Thursday. If you dont have this album, get it! Right now! "This ain't no album, this ain't no game!"

Be Easy (vid below), Lets Get Away (vid below), Rubberband Man, Bezzle (I know this is a TIP review, but Bun B slaaaays this one, one of my favorite single verses EVER), Let Me Tell You Something (with the Roger and Zapp talkbox in there), and Be Better than me. I, myself, am A king of the south (pun intended) yet would never proclaim to be THE king of the south but TIP holds the crown when it comes to hip-hop.

He even goes as far as to proclaim (and secure) himself as "The King of the South". Its got club tracks, bounce tracks, street tracks, baby makin tracks, really just a well-rounded blend of everything you want in any hip-hop album. the versace suit wearin "hollywood" businessman vs TIP the grimey hustla from the streets with no conscience, just out to get his. He touches on love, lust, haters, money and the lack their of, his own remorse over his past mistakes and growth from and thereafter, and even goes at himself with his 2 personas, T.I. Tip tells his stories from the trap, strugglin comin up hustlin in the streets yet discourages the lifestyle (SN: easy money isnt always all that easy and it dont last near as long as clean money) and then encourages people to be better than him. Iunno where to start with this one.every song on this album rides. Fortunately, I've grown up and matured an incredible amount since those days, but aside from that its still one of my all time favorite albums PBP. It was almost like a soundtrack to my teens. TIP is in my top 3 favorite rappers of all time and this album is very personal to me. Alright, I'm back for another edition of Throwback Thursday here to review TI's Trap Muzik.
